My website pages take some time to come up on Internet Explorer, yet on Firefox they have no problem? I contacted GoDaddy where I used their template and service and they said it MAY have too much content. I only having writting and clipart. I have seen far more on other sites and they do not have this problem. Any suggestions?
Thanks for your time.

It may have to do with the browser or your CPU load or memory load. Try a different browser like Mozzila Firefox (http://www.firefox.com) Also open task manager and make sure you do not have a large CPU load.
Last thing to do is check how large the file is.
Check for cookies, viruses, and poor broadband signal strength and what they call the Edge (the number of bars) need tobe 4 or more.
it has been said here that it could be the cpu / memory / content,
well this is all true, what I found was that if you have 512 MB of ram then this is the minimum you can use where the page will be slower to open then if you had 2GB of ram installed on your computer.
I have a XP computer where it only has 512 MB of ram and the difference in speed between that and the 2GB I have on this other computer is amazing.
it also depends on how much space you have on the hard drive as well so you have to take this in to consideration.
no doubt come next year this computer I have will be slow compared to a new computer. so if you try a new computer I bet your web pages will open much faster then what they do now.
I use Vista Home Basic / Internet Explorer 8 on this computer with the 2GB of ram and the speed is very fast indeed
I don’t use any other browsers as this could slow the computer down for they all take up memory when your computer starts up.
so there is nothing wrong with your computer just that it is struggling to keep up with progress and the time has come to buy a new computer.
good luck
