It should be great on 6s. You’ll be drawing around 40amps WOT so your 2500′s will be fine as if theyre rated around 20c or over.

I tend to limit flights to around 7 or 8 minutes
3700mah’s, 5 or 6 mins 2500′s. Just monitor your batts after landing

If you have the carbon joined in the middle of the wing make sure you add a long section overlapping the join . Mine uses 6mm x 3mm D section leading and trailing edge running full span (no join) and seems to work fine (so far !!)

Oh yes I already have my power system, good thing I wen’t big. I bought the Welgard 4120-07 brushless which puts out a continuos wattage of 800 watts and a maximum of 1kw. I also bought two 2500 mah 3 cells that i am going to hook up in a series for a 6 cell battery.

Do you know your flying time? Any approx. on my flight time?

I have already carbon reinforced the two wings with one 40″ (5mm diameter) rod each. Do you think that is enough or should a add more before closing up to wings?

Sounds like it should be great .

Only tips I can think of is use good quality carbon for the strengthening, especially for the wings. At 60in span you might have to use carbon x bracing (flying wires) to reduce wing flex as you’ll probably end up weighing over 3kg if not more.

A bigger Ultimate will have lots of drag so you’ll need around 1kw so I guess you’ll be using 4 cells or above ??. Any idea on your setup yet ??

I am building an Ultimate with the same foam with a 60 in wingspan and 66 in fuse length. Great build! Any tips or tricks?
